Caribbean Style Black Bean Soup

Here is our Cuban Black Bean Soup. Roughly chop or lightly puree the soup with an immersion blender. Add the tomatoes, pepper, cilantro, rum, lime juice, and sugar. Ladle soup into individual serving bowls and serve immediately with cilantro leaves, sour cream, diced avocado, and diced red onion . Return the reserved ham pieces to the soup to serve. Add 3 tablespoons of lime juice.

Follow the cooking instructions making the aforementioned changes plus setting your unit to 20 minutes instead. I love this delicious soup and I’ve made it many times. So easy, and I usually have the ingredients.
